Since October 2015 I am an Associate Professor of Control Engineering the Department of Engineering Science in the University of Oxford. I am also a Tutorial Fellow in Engineering at Harris Manchester College. My research is situated in the fields Nonlinear Dynamical Systems, Numerical Integration and Optimal Control. My research focus lies in the development and analysis of structure-preserving simulation and optimal control methods for mechanical, electrical and hybrid systems, with a wide range of application areas including astrodynamics, drive technology and robotics.
